Terms of Service

Last Updated: 15 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”, “your”, “User”), and Scalar Software (“Scalar Software”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of any application, website, tool, widget, plugin, application programming interface, or other software product developed, published, or operated by Scalar Software (individually and collectively, the “Applications” or the “Services”), across iOS, Android, desktop, and web platforms. By downloading, installing, accessing, or otherwise using any Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Applications and must cease all use immediately.

Scalar Software develops and maintains a portfolio of individual applications and software products for both individual users and companies. Where a specific Application has its own supplementary terms, end-user license agreement, or privacy notice, those supplementary terms apply in addition to this Agreement, and in the event of a direct conflict on a specific point, the supplementary terms for that Application will govern solely with respect to that point.

1. Eligibility

The Services are intended solely for users who are at least thirteen (13) years of age. By accessing or using any Application, you represent and warrant that:

2. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify these Terms at any time and for any reason. We will alert you to material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above, and, where appropriate, by an in-app or on-screen notice. It is your responsibility to periodically review these Terms. Your continued use of any Application after revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

3. Description of the Services

Scalar Software builds a range of applications and software products, which may include (without limitation) productivity tools, analytics and dashboard utilities, developer tools, and consumer applications, made available across the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, desktop distribution channels, and the web. The specific functionality, features, and data displayed will vary by Application and will generally be described within that Application itself or in any supplementary documentation we provide.

Certain Applications interface with third-party platforms via their official developer APIs and OAuth frameworks, including, but not limited to:

You explicitly acknowledge and agree that the availability, accuracy, completeness, and update frequency of any data displayed within an Application is dependent on the uptime, rate limits, data accuracy, and policies of the relevant third-party platform. We reserve the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue integrations with any third-party platform at any time, including where required by that platform’s own policies.

4. Account Authentication

Where an Application requires you to sign in, authentication is generally handled through third-party OAuth providers (such as Discord, Google, or GitHub) rather than an independent Scalar Software username-and-password system, unless the relevant Application states otherwise. You maintain sole responsibility for the security, confidentiality, and access controls of your underlying third-party accounts. You explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

Upon successful OAuth authorisation, an Application may receive cryptographically secure, short-lived access and refresh tokens. These tokens are stored using appropriate secure storage mechanisms for the relevant platform (for example, the iOS Keychain, Android Keystore, or equivalent secure storage) and transmitted to our backend infrastructure solely to execute authorised API calls on your behalf. You may revoke an Application’s access to your third-party account data at any time through that platform’s own account settings, or by disconnecting the linked account within the Application itself, where that option is available. Revoking access may immediately disrupt or disable features of the Application that rely on that connection.

5. Data Collection, Storage, and Use

Scalar Software operates under a data minimisation principle: we request and retain only the data reasonably necessary to provide the functionality of a given Application. User data associated with the Services is stored using Supabase as our backend data infrastructure provider, subject to appropriate access controls.

We make the following commitments regarding data obtained through the Services, including data obtained via third-party APIs described in Section 3:

Where a specific Application publishes its own privacy policy, that document provides additional detail on the categories of data collected, retention periods, and your rights, and forms part of this Agreement by reference.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services strictly for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are expressly prohibited from:

Where an Application connects to a third-party platform, you agree to comply with that platform’s applicable terms of service and community guidelines while using the Application. A violation of a connected platform’s terms while using the Services constitutes a violation of this Agreement, and we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access accordingly.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain Applications offer premium features, tiers, or content on a subscription or one-time purchase basis (“Paid Services”). Depending on the Application and platform, Paid Services may be billed through:

Where payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, any request for a refund, billing adjustment, or payment dispute must be submitted directly to Apple or Google via their respective support channels. Where payment is processed through Stripe, refund requests should be directed to us at the contact details in Section 13. Deleting an Application from your device does not automatically cancel an active subscription; you must cancel through the relevant billing platform. We reserve the right to adjust pricing for Paid Services at any time, with any change communicated in advance and applied from your next renewal cycle.

8. App Marketplace Terms

Where you access an Application through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, additional terms apply. These Terms are concluded solely between you and Scalar Software, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC (each, a “Platform Provider”). Scalar Software, and not the Platform Provider, is solely responsible for the Application and its content. Your licence to use the Application is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on devices that you own or control, as permitted by the applicable Platform Provider’s usage rules, and to the extent these Terms are less restrictive than or conflict with those usage rules, the Platform Provider’s rules will govern. Each Platform Provider, and its relevant subsidiaries, is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you accordingly.

9. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Trademarks

Scalar Software and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Applications, including all associated source code, design, and branding, except for content owned by you or by third parties. The Services are independently developed by Scalar Software and, unless expressly stated otherwise, are not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Discord Inc., Google LLC, GitHub, Inc., Apple Inc., or Alphabet Inc. “Discord”, “Google”, and “GitHub”, together with their respective logos and marks, are trademarks of their respective owners and are referenced solely to describe interoperability with those platforms.

10. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, either through an in-app deletion option where available, or by emailing us at the address in Section 13. Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently delete your cached data, configuration settings, and associated identifiers from our active Supabase databases. Residual data in encrypted backups will be overwritten or rendered permanently unrecoverable within the ordinary course of our backup lifecycle, and in any event no later than thirty (30) days from your request. We reserve the right to automatically delete inactive account data where an account has had no activity for an extended period, or where our access to a connected third-party API is revoked such that continued processing of the associated data is no longer possible.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scalar Software disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that data drawn from any connected third-party platform will be accurate, complete, or up to date at all times. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scalar Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Scalar Software for the relevant Paid Service in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, save where such a limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms, or requests relating to your account or data, may be directed to: hello@scalarsoftware.co.uk.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, mandatory local consumer protections applicable in your place of residence will continue to apply notwithstanding this clause.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
